4" Minus Screened Gravel is a wide-graded fill run screened to a 4" top size, carrying everything from fines and sand up to four-inch stone. That full range of sizes is what lets it pack down dense and hold position, which makes it the material for raising grade, building up rough base, and putting down volume on larger sites. When the job is bulk fill that still needs to compact, this is the one.

Why It Works

Because it’s screened to size and not washed, 4″ Minus keeps its fines. The small particles fill the gaps between the larger stones, so when you run it in lifts and compact it, the whole mass binds together instead of shifting. That’s the difference between fill that settles into a stable pad and fill that ruts and rolls under load.
The 4″ top size makes it a deep-lift, high-volume material. It’s built to raise low ground, build up a working pad, or carry truck traffic on a haul road or construction entrance.
