Bank Run Shale is rocky shale material pulled straight from the bank, unscreened and unwashed, with a mix of sizes from stone down to fines. Why It Works

Bank Run Shale comes off the bank as a natural mix – larger pieces of shale with fines and smaller material running through it. That range is the whole point. When you compact it, the fines pack into the voids between the bigger pieces and the material binds into a dense, stable mass that carries load and resists settling.
Because it isn’t screened or washed, it’s an economical way to move volume and build base at the same time. It’s the practical choice for pads, road and driveway sub-base, and bringing low ground up to grade across the Hudson Valley, where you need something that compacts hard and stays put.
