Decorative Stone & Boulders

7-10″ Cobble

Also known as: Large Cobble, River Cobble, Cobblestone, 7-10" Field Stone

7-10" Cobble is a large, naturally rounded stone in the 7" to 10" range. It's a decorative material first - the size you reach for when you want a dry creek bed, a pond edge, or a stone accent that reads as natural rather than placed. The same weight and size that make it look settled also let it hold a slope or a channel bank where smaller stone would wash out.

Applications

  • Dry Creek Beds
  • Water Features & Pond Edging
  • Decorative Borders & Accents
  • Erosion Control on Slopes & Banks
  • Landscaping & Garden Beds

Why It Works

Big enough to stay put and look natural.

At 7 to 10 inches, each stone is heavy enough to hold its position. Water moving through a dry creek bed or down a graded bank doesn’t pick it up and carry it the way it would smaller gravel, which is why the same cobble works in both decorative and erosion-control settings. You get the natural look and the holding power from one material.

The rounded profile is what sells the look. These stones read like they’ve been sitting in a streambed for years, not dumped from a truck. Laid into a creek bed or built up around a pond, they settle into a landscape instead of standing out against it.
