1/4" Crushed Stone is a small, clean, angular crushed stone with the dust and fines screened out. The size makes it a precise material for fine work - a paver bedding and leveling layer, pipe bedding, and drainage where a larger stone would be too coarse. It sets to a consistent surface and lets water move through without holding fines.

Why It Works
Small enough to set true, clean enough to drain.
The 1/4″ size screeds to a flat, even surface, which is why it works as a bedding and leveling layer under pavers. The angular faces give it enough grip to hold position, and because the fines are screened out, it stays open and drains rather than trapping water under the surface.
That same clean profile makes it a clean drainage and pipe bedding material. Water moves through the voids freely and there are no fines to muddy a trench or wash into a pipe. When you need crushed stone but 3/4″ is too coarse for the job, this is the size that fills the gap.
