Why It Works

More drainage than crusher run, more stability than clean stone.

DSA sits between a full crusher run and a clean crushed stone. It has enough fines to compact and lock together under load, but not so many that drainage gets choked off. That balance makes it useful in applications where you need both – a base that holds and a base that moves water.

It performs well under pavement, under gravel surface courses, and in trench applications where pipe bedding needs to stay stable without holding water against the pipe. Place it in lifts and compact as you go. It responds well to compaction and doesn’t require the same aggressive effort that a heavier crusher run demands.
